Justine Allen as "Madonna"

Hamilton girl Justine Allen has been performing from a very young age in various musical endeavours. It all really got underway however in 2001 when she joined Hamilton’s local theatre group ‘Musicmakers’ where over the years she has performed in ‘Joseph and his Technicolour Dreamcoat’ ‘The 70’s Show’ and is currently rehearsing for the August season of ‘Les Miserable's’.

In October 2002 Justine was spotted by and asked to join successful Hamilton show band ‘The Soundworkshop’.

Justine finished up in April 2005 after having spent the last two and half years travelling the country with this high energy dance band, performing as a lead and backing vocalist (as well as dancer and percussionist).

Her singing styles included anything from the 1950’s through to today’s music, as well as various tribute shows (one of which was ‘Abba Gold’ where Justine performed as Agnetha, a role she thoroughly enjoyed).

Justine Joins Austin...

As well as singing in the band every weekend, from November 2003 to April 2005 Justine toured theatres nationwide performing as Christine McVie in the hugely popular tribute show ‘The Chain: The Fleetwood Mac Experience’.

Justine says this has been a role she has relished as she has always been a huge fan of Fleetwood Mac (born and raised on the ‘Rumours’ and ‘Tango in the Night’ albums) and particularly Christine McVie (The songbird herself) who Justine says was a joy to portray, as it was such a comfortable fit character wise (in terms of vocals, physicality and personality there were some uncanny similarities).

Now it is with much excitement that Justine joins Austin Powers and his pals on the road performing as Kylie, Madonna and Felicity Shagwell.

Ask her if she is ready and willing to shake her groove thing and the answer is a definite “Yeah baby, yeah”!!!
